Rosie is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and has been a member of Court Our Lady of Mount Carmel, #1993, Edinburg, since 1989. She has served her court in the offices of Vice Regent and Regent.
In 2007 Rosie was appointed District Deputy for District #50. During the 2007 CDA State Convention she was elected to the State Nominating Committee. She served as Co-Chair for the 2009 State Convention, McAllen; and honored as one of the Top 5 District Deputies at the 2011 State Convention.
Rosie was elected as State Secretary 2011-2013, Second Vice State Regent 2013-2015, First Vice Sate Regent 2015-2017 and State Regent 2017-2019. At the 2014 National Convention she was elected as the chairman to the 2016 National Nominating Committee.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Texas A&M University, Kingsville, and a Master of Science in Human Sciences from Texas A&M University, Kingsville, Rosie also holds a Supervision Certificate (K-12) from the Texas Education Agency. She was employed as a Home Economics teacher for twenty-two (22) years and is presently the Supervisor of the Teen Parent Program for the ECISD.
Rosie and her husband James were married in 1973; they have two children. Rosie loves to read, sew, and spends her spare time in South Padre Island fishing, visiting friends, and enjoying the sunsets
Reverend Gregory T. Labus is the pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Edinburg and has been the local court chaplain of Court Our Lady of Mount Carmel #1993, Edinburg since 2014.
He was born and raised in Edinburg where he attended St. Joseph Catholic School through the eighth grade and graduated from Edinburg High School.
Fr. Greg has a Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth and a Master of Divinity from the University of St. Mary/Mundelein Seminary in Chicago, IL. He was a parish musician at Holy Family Church in Fort Worth and the associate director of music at the Corpus Christi Cathedral.
Father Labus was ordained to the priesthood in 2006 in the Diocese of Brownsville. His Ecclesial assignments include: assistant to the rector at the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle-National Shrine; parochial vicar of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harlingen; parish administrator of St. Mary Church, Santa Rosa; pastor of Our Mother of Mercy Church, Mercedes and served as the local court chaplain of Court Divine Mercy #2420. He also served as Liturgy and Worship Chair for the Diocese of Brownsville and currently serves on the Board of the Southwest Liturgical Conference representing the Diocese of Brownsville.
At the 2017 CDA 50th Biennial State Convention in Corpus Christi, Fr. Greg was appointed State Chaplain for the 2017-2019 term by State Regent, Rosie Stockwell.

Melodie Brunt, Texarkana
Melodie is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Texarkana, and has been a member of Court Marie #344, Texarkana, since 1997. She served her court in the offices of Vice Regent and Regent.
In 2009 she was appointed District Deputy for District #6; elected State Treasurer 2011-2013; elected State Secretary 2013-2015; Second Vice State Regent 2015-2017 and First Vice State Regent 2017-2019.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from East Texas State University, Texarkana, and a Master Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M, Texarkana. Melodie has been employed by JCM Industries as a staff accountant since 1992.
Melodie and her husband Bill were married in 1977. They have three daughters and seven grandchildren. Melodie loves Girl Scouts, camping, canoeing, sewing, and traveling.

Second Vice State Regent Becky Brown, Angleton
Rebecca “Becky” is a member Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Angleton, and has been a member of Court Immaculate Mary #2134, Angleton, since 1995. She served her court in the offices of Financial Secretary and Regent.
In 2011 she was appointed District Deputy for District #35, and Liturgy Chairman for the 2011 State Convention. In 2013 Becky received one of the Top-5 District Deputy awards. She was elected as State Treasurer 2013-2015, State Secretary 2015-2017 and Second Vice State Regent 2017-2019.
Becky has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Business Administration from Texas A&M University. She is the Officer Manager/CFO for a family business in Angleton. Becky has three children and four grandchildren. She loves reading, traveling, weekend movie marathons, hiking, and sharing time with her family.

Terri Beltran, El Campo
Terri is a member San Roberto Bellarmino Catholic Church and has been a member of Court San Roberto Bellarmino #2275, El Campo, since 1989. She has served her court in the offices of Recording Secretary, Vice Regent and Regent.
She was appointed District Deputy for District #14 2000 – 2007; State JCDA Chairman 2007- 2013, and State Public Relations Chairman 2013- 2015. She received the 2011 State Regents award. Terri was elected State Treasurer 2015-2017 and State Secretary 2017-2019. Terri received the 2015 JCDA Saint Anne award.
She has been a Maintenance Secretary for El Campo ISD since 1987. Terri and her husband Augustine were married in 1978. They have three children and four grandchildren. Terri’s other interests include A.C.T.S., reading, doing crafts, sewing and baking.

Mary Jane Albert, Houston
Mary Jane has been a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Community, Houston, since 1982. She is a charter member of Court of the Holy Family #2597, Houston, instituted in 2008 and served her local court as the charter Regent.
In 2009, Mary Jane was appointed District Deputy for District #54 and was elected to the State Nominating Committee at the 2009 State Convention. At the 2017 State Convention in Corpus Christi she was honored as one of the Top 5 District Deputies and elected to the office of State Treasurer 2015-2017.
Mary Jane attended Blinn College in Brenham, McKenzie Baldwin Business College in Bryan and Southwestern Paralegal Institute in Houston. She and her husband Merv have been owners of NTD Shipping, Inc. since 1998.
Mary Jane and Merv were married in 1987. They have four daughters, one son, four granddaughters and two grandsons. Mary Jane’s favorite past times are cooking, baking, swimming and spending as much time as she can with her family, especially their grandchildren.

McAllen Convention Center – McAllen, Texas “Be Not Afraid!” ≈ St. John Paul the Great
The city of McAllen, known as the City of Palms, is located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley. The site of the convention is the McAllen Convention Center located at 700 Convention Center Blvd. This area is well developed and features an Oval Pond in front of the convention center, a Veteran’s Memorial, and a “state of the art” McAllen Performing Arts Center where many notable acts are featured. Many shops and restaurants line the area surrounding the Convention Center.
Regents: please share this information with the court members. Members do not have to be delegates or alternates to attend the convention and are encouraged to attend.
In addition, please extend an invitation to the court chaplains and spouses. All clergy in attendance are invited to concelebrate the opening Mass which will be held at the Basilica of the National Shrine of San Juan del Valle in San Juan, Texas. Masses will be celebrated daily at the convention center as well. If the chaplain is planning to attend, please remind him to bring his alb and stole.

Dressattirefortheconventionisbusinesscasual. Sometimes the rooms are cold so you may want to bring a jacket or a sweater as well as comfortable shoes.
At the Opening Mass on Thursday, May 2, 2019, the national, state, district deputies, and local court officers will wear robeswithwhiteshoes; state chairmen will wear white. Local court officers who do not have robes may wear white.
For the Memorial Mass on Friday, May 3, 2019, the Past State Regents and District Deputies are asked to wear white for the entrance procession. Everyone else is encouraged to wear Red on Friday in recognition of the armed services.
